What is Thai Yoga Massage (TYM)?

Thai Yoga massage is a unique therapy including acupressure, applied yoga and gentle stretching. It arrived in Thailand along with Buddhism around the 2nd or 3rd century BC. It is based on a belief that energy circulates around special pathways in the body, more commonly known as nadis. If there is a blockage in the nadis this can prevent the free flow of energy in the body leading to aches, pain and disease on a physical, emotional and spiritual level. In a TYM session the therapist works 10 lines
(ten sen)in the body to help release this energy, restoring health, harmony and balance in the whole system.

What are the therapeutic benefits of Thai Yoga Massage?

TYM treats ailments such as headache, knee pain, back, shoulder and neck pain, premenstrual tension and others. It is especially effective for numbness or loss of feeling in conditions such as Multiple Sclerosis, or after a stroke.

What can I expect during my treatment?

In TYM the receiver is fully clothed, it is best to wear loose clothing eg. tracksuit bottoms and t-shirt. You will be lying down on a massage bed on the floor. Each person is different as will each massage be. After an initial consultation you will have a massage tailored to YOUR needs.
After a full body massage, it usually takes 4-5 days for the energy balancing to be complete. This means you will continue to feel the effects for some time after your treatment

After a massage you may feel greater flexibility in the joints, enhanced blood circulation, better alignment of the body, improved posture and additional stimulation of the internal organs, which helps them to function optimally. TYM also induces a feeling of relaxation and tranquillity in body and mind.

Who is Thai Yoga Massage for?

Contrary to popular belief you do not need to be flexible to receive a massage. Each treatment is designed to suit the individual's needs. As the basic principle is to balance the energy body with palming and thumbing techniques, this form of body work can be done on anyone: young, old, healthy or unwell!

complete energy balancing treatment- 2 hours


This is the one that i highly recommend!!  The 2 hours gives me time to work all 10 energy lines in the body helping to re balance your whole being. I also have more time to work with specific areas that the client has asked for. This treatment is both relaxing and energising and is modified specifically to meet your body's needs and capacities.  I use hands, elbows or feet to apply pressure to certain energy points, and may use gentle stretches and applied yoga to help you achieve shifts in body alignment to create the conditions for healing and balance to emerge.

90 minute treatment specifically for back pain


This treatment is great for those who have back pain .You are on your sides for most of the treatment which i have found is most comfortable for those who are in pain. I work from top to toe with much emphasis on the energy lines of the back to help release energy blockages. This is another treatment i have had great results in helping to alleviate pain .

30 minute neck, head & shoulders treatment



This is a beautiful treatment to get into those hard to reach areas and release the build up of tension that most of us carry in this area. you will leave feeling a lot looser. One gentleman I recently treated could hear better after this 30 minute treatment!

I went to Annie for problems in my lower back, after trying several different types of therapies , her Thai Yoga Massage is by far the best I have experienced and the most effective. I had my first massage last Saturday, and it was amazing!

I already owe so much to Annie, thanks to her awesome yoga classes I no longer suffer the back pains that had bothered me for years! I had my first massage last Saturday, and it was amazing!
